Reported detikjatimThursday (21/5/2026), Kasatreskrim Kediri Police, AKP Joshua Peter Krisnawan, said the number of victims was known after collecting data together with village officials and the victims.
“When data collection was carried out on the existing victims, it turned out that there were quite a lot of victims,” explained Joshua Peter, Thursday (21/5/2026).
This case began when one of the victim’s parents found out that their child was suspected of being a victim of sexual abuse. The report was then forwarded to village officials before finally being taken to the Kediri Police.
“Based on the data we have collected, there are 12 minors who are suspected of being victims of sexual abuse by the suspect,” he explained.
However, the police have not ruled out the possibility that there are other victims who have not come forward. “We urge the people of Kediri Regency who feel they have become victims to immediately report to the PPA Unit of the Kediri Police Criminal Investigation Unit,” he concluded.
