In the midst of echoes of bureaucratic efficiency, this Gerindra politician actually holds three strategic positions at once: Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Head of the Government Communications Agency (BKP), and Main Commissioner of Telkom.

As a result, serious questions arise about overlapping authority and potential conflicts of interest. Not to mention the salary, which according to rough calculations could reach IDR 917 million per month for the three positions.

Regulator, Supervisor, and Spokesperson in One Hand

The position Angga holds is considered unethical, even extreme. As Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, he plays a role as a regulator in the digital and telecommunications sector. But on the other hand, as Komut Telkom, he actually supervises one of the largest operators supervised by his own ministry. Not to mention his role as Head of BKP, which allows him to control the narrative of the Palace’s public communications.

In fact, according to a number of experts, this situation violates the rules of the game. Constitutional Court Decision Number 80/PUU-XVII/2019 actually clearly prohibits holding multiple positions for ministers, and this prohibition automatically also applies to deputy ministers.

Feri Amsari, an expert in constitutional law, firmly expressed his opinion. “This is a violation of the constitution,” he said.

Expert Warning: From GCG Violations to Potential Criminal Offenses

Abraham Samad, former chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, gave a stronger warning. He saw that there was a potential criminal problem behind receiving salaries from these dual positions. “Salaries from holding multiple positions can be categorized as detrimental to state finances and even an element of corruption,” he said, quoted on Saturday (31/1/2026).
