Idai Chairperson about MBG: Not because of not wearing a spoon or washing hands

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Chairperson of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) Piprim Basarah Yanuarso highlighted the lab results of free nutritious food (MBG).

Later the MBG poisoning cases occurred in several areas. Thousands of children confirmed MBG poisoning.

Piprim in his upload in the thread posted lab test results from food samples in Sukabumi.

There are 3 cases that occurred the Nutrition Services Fulfillment Unit (SPPG) that occurred with vulnerable August to September which befell 125 children.

The result is 32 children in poisoning cidologists due to fungal contamination of fungal contamination in watermelons, enterobacter cloacae bacteria in orek tempeh and macrococcus caseolyticus bacteria in omelette.

SPPG Parakansalak occurs in 24 children due to bacteria Bacillus cereus in eggs.

While the case in 69 children at SPPG Cibadak is still waiting for the lab test results.

Doctor Piprim then said that the problematic MBG was not from the habits of children who eat without spoons or not washing hands before eating.

“So it’s not because you don’t use a spoon or don’t wash your hands,” he wrote quoted Saturday (9/27/2025).

Previously, Piprim was also in the IDAI media seminar: recognizing and overcoming food poisoning in children on Thursday, September 25, 2025 revealed his concern for this poisoning case.

“Actually, Idai wants this case to be prevented as much as possible. One victim of poisoning is something big especially thousands,” he explained.

Piprim asked for special attention to this case and did not consider it trivial.

“Do not let it be ignorant of the prevention of poisoning so that Nauzubillahiminzalik appears casualties, this is very, so we do not expect,” he continued.
