Seven people were declared missing after a speedboat carrying 10 passengers sank when hit by waves in Southwest Maluku. The victim named Yakop Anamofa (22) and Ignasius Matrunkoly (42) survived and 1 other victim drowned.
The incident occurred in the waters of Dai Island, Sinairusi Village, West Babar District, Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku, Thursday (11/6) at 07.30 WIT. The speedboat carrying 10 passengers was originally from Sanairusi Village to Tepa.
“According to victims Yakop and Ignasius, when the speedboat arrived between Dai Island and Tepa Village, suddenly there was wind (which triggered) a wave and hit the body of the speedboat,” said Southwest Maluku Police Chief, AKBP Budhi Suriawardhana, as reported by detikSulsel, Saturday (13/6/2026).
Sea water also entered the speedboat. Not long after, the speedboat sank in the waters of the island and the passengers tried to swim to save themselves.
“Then Yakop and Ignasius swam to land because they saw that the coast of Dai Island was still visible. At that time, they saw Aseal Danie swimming behind,” he explained.
Budhi said that at that time there were high waves so the two victims were unable to help Asael. The two then saw Asael allegedly drowning.
“The victim was elderly and the weather conditions were not good so the two witnesses did not have time to help the victim and swam to safety on land,” he explained.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
