FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Discussions about candidates for the new coach of the Indonesian National Team are currently still being discussed.
Several names have also been linked and rumored to be a replacement for previous coach Patrick Kluivert.
Names such as Louis Van Gaal and former Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae Yong, are also on the candidate market.
However, it is clear that PSSI has not yet chosen a fixed name to fill the vacant position.
Regarding the vacancy in the coaching chair, former naturalized Indonesian national team player, Cristian Gonzales, gave advice.
The advice he gave even went so far as to give a suitable name to become the coach of the Garuda Squad.
According to him, Luis Milla’s name could be used as an option as a candidate.
The coach from Spain was the coach of the Indonesian National Team from March 2017 to August 2018.
At that time, Luis Milla promoted many U-23 national team players to play at senior level.
The Indonesian national team under Luis Milla was also quite promising, presenting a captivating game.
“I want to ask Luis Milla why he left in the first place? Maybe he could be given another chance,” said Gonzales on the Jebreeet Media Podcast recently.
Meanwhile, PSSI, as the holder of the right to determine this, has reportedly not yet confirmed a name for the new coach of the Indonesian National Team.
Moreover, if there are questions that arise about when the coach will be introduced, they will certainly not be answered.
PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Arya Sinulingga said the federation did not want to rush into determining a replacement for Patrick Kluivert.
