FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the examination of the Expert Staff of the Minister of Manpower in the field of International Relations Haryanto was related to the alleged extortion of foreign workers (TKA).
“His knowledge was explored in connection with the alleged extortion in the capacity concerned in the structure of the Ministry of Manpower that deals with the use of TKA in Indonesia,” KPK Spokesman Budi Prasetyo said when confirmed by Antara from Jakarta on Thursday.
Haryanto was questioned by KPK investigators on Friday (5/23) as witnesses for a case of alleged bribery or gratification in the management of the Plan for the Use of Foreign Workers (RPTKA) in the Ministry of Manpower in 2019-2023.
He was examined by KPK investigators in his capacity as Director of Control of the Use of TKA (PPTKA) of the Ministry of Manpower in 2019-2024 and the Director General of Development of Labor Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Dirjen Binapenta and PPK) of the Ministry of Manpower in 2024-2025.
After being examined as a witness to the case, he directed the journalists to ask the investigation material to KPK investigators.
“Just ask the investigator,” Haryanto said after being examined as a witness at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Friday (5/23).
Previously, the KPK stated that the case was allegedly occurred at the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Binapenta and PKK Kemenaker in 2020-2023.
It was also said that the alleged bribe had occurred since 2019.
The KPK also stated that his party had named eight people as suspects in the case. However, it has not been able to inform the background of the suspects, namely state, private, or other administrators.
