This Legal Sociologist Believes Jokowi’s Diploma is Fake: If It’s Genuine, He Would Have the Courage to Show It

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Jakarta State University (UNJ) law professor and sociologist, Prof. Ciek Julyati Hisyam, believes that former President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) Bachelor’s degree from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) is fake.

According to Prof. Ciek Julyati Hisyam, if Jokowi’s title is genuine then he must have the courage to show his title to the public.

“I believe (Jokowi’s diploma) is fake. If it really was genuine, surely anyone would dare to show it,” said Ciek, quoted from a broadcast on the YT tvOneNews channel, Saturday (6/12/2025).

The UNJ professor also highlighted the green stamp on Jokowi’s diploma, a copy of which was brought by the deputy chairman of Jokowi Mania (JoMan), Andi Azwan.

According to him, this was strange because in Law Number 13 of 1985, it was never stated that there was a stamp like on Jokowi’s diploma.

“What is based there is that the main print on the seal was purple,” said Ciek.

“The green color stated there is only for the image of Garuda. So it is not the whole thing,” he continued.

Ciek revealed that he also graduated in 1985 like Jokowi, but at a different campus.

He graduated from IKIP Jakarta and according to him at that time there was no green stamp on his diploma.
“I also graduated that year, but no, the color wasn’t green,” explained Ciek.

“If indeed all diplomas for that year have to be stamped, of course the stamp will be the same,” he explained. (bs-sam/dawn)
