The Indonesian national team is getting closer to the ranking of FIFA ranking

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian national team is predicted to continue to increase in FIFA ranking or ranking.

Although the results in the two matches in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in June can be said to be unsatisfactory.

Two matches were lived by Indonesia in June. In the first match, Indonesia won over China with a score of 1-0. After that, Indonesia was embedded in Japan 0-6 at Suita City Stadium, Tuesday (6/10/2025).

From the two matches played, the Garuda squad got an additional 15.05 points from the victory over China.

While poor results against Japan made Indonesia decrease 3.42 points.

From the addition of these points, the Indonesian national team has collected 1,154.55 points.

With that collection, Indonesia is in the 118th position. Indonesia shifted North Korea who lost to Iran in the last match of the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group A. North Korea collected 1,151.05 points, reduced by 2.33 points.

Being in the 118th position of FIFA, certainly makes the Indonesian national team closer to the target to be achieved.

PSSI previously gave a target to penetrate the top 100 of FIFA ranking.

The struggle can be continued in the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Indonesia is still waiting for the opponents to be faced.
