Sentil Nadiem, Arief Poyuono: This Minister is corrupt, but Jokowi who was hit by his sap

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Former Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Arief Poyuono, flicked former Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Minister of Education and Culture), Nadiem Makarim, related to alleged corruption in the procurement of laptops in his term of office.

Poyuono alluded to the procurement of laptops for Rp. 5 million which was said to be paid at double the price of Rp10 million per unit.

“This is one of the ministers (Nadiem Makarim) in the Jokowi era that made a record of corruption really big,” Poyuono said at X @bumnbersatu, Wednesday (4/6/2025).

Arief not only highlighted the alleged corruption in the case, but also the impact on the image of former President Jokowi in the eyes of the world.

“What makes Jokowi has been named the most corrupt president of No. 2 in the world. Whereas who is corrupt who is, who was hit by Jokowi’s sap,” he regretted.

As is known, allegations of corruption in the procurement of laptops by the Ministry of Education and Culture have been a public concern since recent times.

Procurement prices are considered unnatural and raise indications of budget games that are detrimental to state finances.

Previously, Kapuspenkum AGO, Harli Siregar confirmed the search carried out by his party at the residences of Fiona Handayani and Juris Stan.

“Jampidsus investigators found evidence in the form of electronic goods namely a laptop unit and four units of FH cellphones,” Harli said, Monday (5/26/2025).

Meanwhile, in Juris’s apartment, investigators seized two hard disks, one flash disk and one laptop and 15 agenda books.

After the search, the AGO raised the status of the case to the investigation stage on May 21, 2025.
