FAJAR.CO.ID – Religious affairs also become a field of corruption. Hajj quota is a corruption of officials in the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag). The KPK revealed, the Ministry of Religion officials at each level get a part or ration from the alleged corruption case of the Hajj quota 2023-2024.

Acting Assignment of the KPK’s Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu revealed the way the Ministry of Religion officials played the Hajj quota. You do this by threatening the Hajj travel agency will not be given a special hajj quota if it does not deposit a sum of money to the Ministry of Religion officials.

“So, that is the act of arbitrariness. Sometimes asking for something outside. If it is not given, yes later the pilgrimage quota can not get,” said Asep at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta (9/9).

The KPK suspects the flow of money related to the corruption case of the Hajj quota flows in stages, namely through trust, relatives, to the expert staff of the Ministry of Religion officials.

Asep revealed, the position of the Hajj and Travel Hajj and Umrah travel agencies in Indonesia is indeed very dependent on the Ministry of Religion in obtaining a special hajj quota.
