Prabowo Threatens to Remove Naughty Minister, Ferdinand Hutahaean: The Cabinet Has Been Uncohesive Since Purbaya Entered

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — PDIP politician, Ferdinand Hutahaean, responded to President Prabowo Subianto’s statement regarding naughty ministers who would be removed if they had committed violations up to three times.

Ferdinand said that Prabowo’s statement was not aimed at one or two ministers specifically, but rather was a form of warning about the current condition of the cabinet.

“I don’t think this was specifically directed by Prabowo at one person or two people. But I think this is a warning about the current condition of Prabowo’s cabinet,” said Ferdinand to dawn.co.id, Monday (20/10/2025).

He assessed that after the entry of the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, the internal situation in the cabinet began to show disharmony.

“I see that this cabinet is no longer unified after Purbaya came in. This cabinet no longer has one voice after Purbaya came in,” he said.

Ferdinand also touched on the moment when a number of ministers chose to leave Purbaya during a press conference after the meeting with Danantara.

“Especially after a few days ago, after a meeting with Danantara, three Coordinating Ministers, four Coordinating Ministers left Purbaya alone to face journalists,” said Ferdinand.

“This was clearly expressed in front of journalists and it was not just an attitude, it was a clear attitude of displeasure towards Purbaya,” he added.

However, Ferdinand emphasized that he could not confirm who the minister Prabowo was referring to in the warning.

However, he suspects that this is a strong warning to anyone who often causes unrest in the cabinet.
