FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR – The Regional Management Board (DPW) of the People’s Movement (GR) of South Sulawesi Province held a consolidation meeting in Ardan Masogi, Tamalanrea, Makassar, Saturday (9/13/2025) afternoon.
This activity became special because it was attended directly by the General Chairperson of the Central Management Board (DPP) of the People’s Movement, Sahrin Hamid.
The presence of Sahrin was warmly welcomed by dozens of organizers of the People’s Movement from various regions in South Sulawesi.
There were present the ranks of the Daily Management and the Council of the South Sulawesi GR DPW Expert, the Chairman of the Makassar City DPD GR H. Paris, and the Chairman of the Gowa Regency GRA Karim Alwie and his entourage.
The event began with singing the song Indonesia Raya and Mars of the People’s Movement, before being continued with the remarks of the Chairman of the South Sulawesi GR DPW, Asri Tadda.
On that occasion, Asri explained the development of organizations in the regions and introduced a number of expert council figures.
“Alhamdulillah, this is happiness for us in South Sulawesi because Ketum is pleased to be present directly with us all. Please direction and guidance so that the people’s movement is more solid and the People’s Action Party can pass verification as a participant in the upcoming election,” said Asri.
Meanwhile, in his direction, Sahrin Hamid emphasized that the different role between the people’s movement and the People’s Action Party.
According to him, the people’s movement focuses on social activities, while the People’s Action Party is prepared as a forum for political struggle.
“The people’s movement has been registered as a mass organization, while our people’s action party is temporarily prepared into a political machine to encourage the nation’s change with Anies Baswedan,” he explained.
