Latest News: Attorney General’s Office ensures that Rp. 6.6 trillion is handed over to the state, not borrowed from the bank

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) revealed the process of compiling a mountain of money worth IDR 6.6 trillion that was handed over to the state. The process of stacking the money until it filled the lobby of the Jampidsus Building was carried out by officers since early morning.
“Wow, that was from the morning. From 6 o’clock until what time. There were only 4 trucks from Bank Mandiri or 5 trucks. From the morning, from 6 o’clock,” said the Head of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang, to journalists at the Attorney General’s Office, South Jakarta, Wednesday (24/12/2025).

Anang said the money management process was carried out under strict supervision. All security officers are involved, to ensure there are no violations in the process.
“The security guard is there, the bank is also monitoring it, and there is also security guarded there. So the security is extra tight, the money is IDR 6.6 trillion,” he said.
Anang confirmed that the trillions of money displayed today were not borrowed from banks. Rather, it was purely the confiscated proceeds of IDR 4.28 trillion from the Attorney General’s Office and IDR 2.4 trillion from the PKH Task Force.
“That’s all IDR 6.6 trillion. That’s all the money. It’s all shown and it’s confiscated money, not borrowed money. Make sure,” explained Anang.
He explained that the money stolen from the state was kept in an account belonging to the prosecutor’s office. After today’s handover, it will be deposited into the state treasury through the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
“You can ask the bank. That’s the money the Prosecutor’s Office has, it’s also confiscated from collection results, right? Yesterday there was 17 point trillion, this is intense collection, all my friends,” he concluded.
As previously reported, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin handed over money worth IDR 6,625,294,190,469.74 to the state via Purbaya. The money is an accumulation of state loot in cases of criminal acts of corruption and collection of administrative fines for misuse of forest areas.
The activity was held at the Jampidsus AGO building, South Jakarta, Wednesday (24/12/2025). The handover of the money was witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto.

“On this auspicious day, as a form of accountability to the public, we also handed over Rp. 6,625,294,190,469.74,” said the Attorney General at the location.

In front of Prabowo, Burhanuddin emphasized that he would follow up on no misuse of forest areas. Because, according to him, forests must be managed for the benefit of the people, not a handful of groups.
“The law must be upright and strict law enforcement is needed in order to maintain national stability,” stressed Burhanuddin.
“We ensure that forestry as a gift from God Almighty is a gift that belongs to the Indonesian people, it must be managed and preserved for the benefit of the people, not just for the benefit of a few groups of people,” he concluded.
