Latest News: Andre Rosiade Checks the Land of the Indonesian Hajj Village in Saudi: President’s Commitment to the Ummah

Deputy Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI, Andre Rosiade, visited the hotel assets and 5 hectares of land that Danantara purchased for the Indonesian Hajj village in Saudi Arabia. Andre said that the steps to build the Hajj village were President Prabowo Subianto’s real commitment to the Muslim community.
In the video he shared on Instagram, Sunday (28/12/2025), Andre visited the hotel and land for the Hajj village on December 28 2025. Andre said that the Novotel Takher hotel in Mecca had been purchased by Danantara, including 5 hectares where 13 towers would be built for the Hajj village.
“Well, where is the Novotel Thakher that we saw this afternoon, this can be used, God willing, by Hajj pilgrims in 2026,” said Andre.

Apart from that, Andre also said that the Indonesian government is targeting locations in Saudi Arabia that can accommodate approximately one hundred thousand Hajj pilgrims. Andre said the government’s move was Prabowo’s commitment to improving the management of the Hajj in Indonesia.
“This is President Prabowo’s commitment to Muslims. Pak Prabowo’s commitment to fixing the chaos of Hajj in Indonesia. Build a Hajj Village, form a Ministry of Hajj, so that services for Hajj pilgrims and Muslims are even better,” said Andre.
Andre’s first visit to the Novotel Hotel was to see the coffee shop which could accommodate 200 people. After that, he saw a restaurant in one of the hotel towers which could accommodate 500 worshipers.
“Yes, so it has 3 towers, so 1,500 pilgrims can have breakfast,” he said.
Andre then moved to the next tower to inspect other facilities. Each tower, he said, is connected by a bridge, making it easier for the congregation.
“Today we came, the occupancy was 100%. So today’s occupancy rate is 100%. So, masha Allah, this is a very decent hotel and in my opinion as a member of the DPR, the government is taking the right steps to improve the quality of housing or lodging for Hajj pilgrims while in Mecca. This is President Prabowo’s commitment,” said Andre.

The Gerindra Party politician also visited the meeting room at the hotel. Andre praised the facilities available at the hotel. Then he inspected the prayer room which could accommodate 400 worshipers. Prayer rooms are available in every hotel tower.
Another facility Andre visited was the hotel room. According to Andre, each floor of the hotel has 28 rooms.

“We saw one of the rooms. This is the floor, for the room. So it is very representative for the congregation,” he said.
After inspecting the Novotel Hotel, Andre continued his visit to the land that would be used as a Hajj village. He showed the area of ​​land that had been purchased by the Indonesian government.
“So, let’s look at the land in front. Just in front of it. Our land is from here to that end, this hill. So this is our land, from here to that end,” said Andre.
Andre said that 13 towers and one mall will be built on the 5 hectares of land. He estimates that the facility can accommodate up to 23 thousand to 24 thousand Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.
“This is the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto, the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia, to Indonesian Hajj pilgrims. The President, through his government, wants to provide the best service to Indonesian Hajj pilgrims, who so far have been getting accommodation 4 to 6 kilometers away from the Grand Mosque and we know that there have been many protests about quality. Now the government is providing 2.5 kilometers from the Grand Mosque. God willing, we ask for your prayers and support,” he added.
