Latest News: 3 teenagers in Bantul riding a motorbike hit a pole, 2 people die

Three teenage boys riding a motorbike in three pairs crashed into a lighting pole on the side of Jalan Raya Sanden, Tegalsempu, Caturharjo, Pandak, Bantul. The two teenagers died at the scene.
Head of Public Relations for the Bantul Police, Inspector Rita Hidayanto, said the accident started when the automatic motorbike was traveling from north to south at around 15.00 WIB, Wednesday (21/1/2025). The motorbike was driven by a teenage boy who was carrying two of his colleagues.
The driver is FA (15), a resident of Caturharjo. Meanwhile, the first pillion rider or in the middle was FWP (14), a resident of Murtigading, Sanden, Bantul and the last pillion rider was RRP (14), a resident of Caturharjo.
“The motorbike was being driven on three pillions at high speed,” he told reporters, Wednesday as reported by detikJogja, (21/1).

Arriving at the scene of the incident, suddenly the speed of the motorbike went out of control. The motorbike swerved to the left side of the road.
“After swerving to the left, the motorbike hit a street light pole on the side of the road,” he said.
As a result, both the driver and two pillions were thrown into the rice fields on the side of the road. Apart from that, all three of them were lying down and suffering from injuries.

“The rider suffered a serious head injury and died at the scene, as did the pillion rider in the middle position. The pillion rider at the back suffered a broken left arm and is currently being treated at UII Pandak Hospital,” he said.
