Cibubur Labschool High School has once again made a proud achievement in the international innovation arena. A total of six research teams won medals at the 2025 Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF).
This event was organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) at the COEX Convention Center, Seoul.
SIIF is one of the largest innovation exhibitions and competitions in the world, bringing together thousands of innovators from dozens of countries. This year’s assessment was more stringent because the entire curation and award process was carried out directly by official judges from KIPO, the South Korean government agency that handles intellectual property.
Of the total 24 Indonesian teams for the high school and university categories, only 17 teams won awards. All 6 Cibubur Labschool High School teams were among the medal recipients, an extraordinary achievement that confirms the quality of research and culture of innovation within the Labschool environment.
“Thank God, this achievement is proof that Cibubur Labschool High School continues to strengthen its commitment to developing research, creativity and technological innovation, as well as producing students who are able to compete at the global level,” said the Head of Cibubur Labschool High School, Dr Ali Chudori, in a written statement, Monday (8/12/2025).
The awards won along with a brief profile of the innovation are as follows:
The six teams were considered superior in the aspects of creativity, usefulness, technological novelty, scientific work patents and commercialization potential, according to SIIF international judging standards.
Accompanying teachers Mohammad Iqbal and Rahmi Hayatunnufus said this year’s assessment process was one of the most competitive for the same competition. However, all participants from SMA Labschool Cibubur were able to demonstrate excellent competence and self-confidence during the presentation session to the international jury.
One of the student members of the Ayodhya delegation, Sandyazmara Utomo, expressed his pride in being able to represent Indonesia at this international event.
“The experience of being at SIIF 2025 is an invaluable opportunity. Being able to present our innovations in front of an international jury made me understand that the knowledge learned at school can have a real impact on the environment, bringing Indonesia’s name to the world level,” said Ayodhya.
The success of these 6 teams also strengthens Indonesia’s position in the international arena, especially in developing science-based solutions and inventions.
SMA Labschool Cibubur hopes that this achievement can be an inspiration for all high school students in Indonesia to continue to develop their work and utilize knowledge to provide real solutions for society.
