FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The public spotlight was focused on the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid in recent days.
This was triggered by his controversial statement which stated that the landfill landed would be confiscated by the government. Suddenly, the statement was crowded with criticism of various groups of people.
He also mentioned, all land in Indonesia is state property. According to Nusron, the community is only given ownership status on land, so that the state can be taken if it is not used.
After a few days of polemic, Nusron Wahid finally delivered an apology. He realized and acknowledged that the statement made was not appropriately spoken in the community.
But related to the controversial statement, Nusroh Wahid explained further and detailed regarding the purpose of the words he had made recently.
Nusron then explained that related to land policies, specifically related to abandoned land which actually wanted to be conveyed in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution.
The contents of Article 33 paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution, namely the earth, water, and natural resources contained therein are controlled by the state and used as much as possible for the prosperity of the people.
“We need to be honest, recognizing millions of hectares of land with the status of business rights (HGU) and Building Use Rights (HGB) whose conditions are displaced, unproductive, and do not provide optimal benefits for the community,” Nusron said, Tuesday (12/8).
