As is known, Bernardo Tavares resigned from the PSM coach seat for several reasons for one of the salary payments.

He announced himself the announcement of his resignation through his personal social media.

After Tavares’s resignation, PSM’s management then appointed assistant coach Ahmad Amiruddin ascending and occupying the position of the coach as a caretaker or temporary coach.

This was announced directly by PSM Makassar through its official announcement.

Ahmad Amiruddin will occupy the position as a caretaker until there is a new coach.

“Assistant coach, Ahmad Amiruddin, will act as a caretaker until the stipulation of the new head coach,” PSM Makassar wrote in his statement.

Appointing temporary coaches certainly will not make them able to relax without looking for a new coach. Because, there are sanctions waiting if they do not immediately find a replacement for Tavares.

At least since Bernardo Tavares’s resignation, the team nicknamed Juku Eja has 30 days to find a new coach.

This provision is contained in Article 19 paragraph 13 Super League Regulation 2025/2026.

The club that replaces the head coach must notify PSSI and I.League in writing no later than H+3 of the contract termination.

“The club is also required to register a new head coach no later than 30 days after delivering a notification letter and must meet the qualifications of the head coach in accordance with Article 20 of this regulation,” said Article 19 paragraph 13.
