Form of Independent Investigation Commission, President Prabowo Will Evaluate the Police

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto will form an independent investigation commission. This was conveyed by the national conscience movement after meeting the president.

The formation of the commission was one of the aspirations brought by the GNB to the State Palace.

“One guide that is also our aspirations from the GNB is the need for an independent investigation commission related to the August tempest incident some time ago which caused casualties, violence and so on. The President approved the formation,” said former Religious Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Thursday (11/9/2025).

He also conveyed to the President that student activists who were caught in a demonstration some time ago could be released immediately.

“The principle is related to reforms in the economic, political, law and human rights and defense and security sectors,” he said.

Not only that, police evaluation and reform were also welcomed by the President.

Previously, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto invited a number of figures who were members of the Nation Conscience Movement to the State Palace, Jakarta.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 16:30 WIB and monitored since 15:30 WIB, a number of figures have begun to attend, including former Religious Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin.

Even so, the figures present did not yet know exactly what issues would be discussed, only mentioning the possibility of the development of the current situation.

The figures present included Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, Quraish Shihab, Franz Magnis Suseno, Omi Komaria Nurcholish Madjid, Komaruddin Hidayat, and Erry Riyana Hardjapamekas. In addition, Ery Seda, Laode Syarif, to Beka Ulung Hapsara also appeared.
