Fajar.co.id, Jakarta β PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen its role in empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Most recently, BRI held the Grand Launching of BRI x SOGO MSMEs at SOGO Central Park Jakarta (28/11).
Present at the event were the Minister of MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia Maman Abdurrahman, Main Director of BRI Hery Gunardi, CEO of SOGO Indonesia Handaka Santosa, Director Network & Retail Funding BRI Aquarius Rudianto, and Director Commercial Banking BRI Alexander Dippo Paris. This momentum marks the start of the collaboration between BRI and SOGO in displaying the products of assisted MSMEs in modern retail.
Minister of MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia Maman Abdurrahman expressed his appreciation for the steps taken by BRI and SOGO which provide space for MSME entrepreneurs to penetrate the modern market and reach a wider range of consumers.
βIn my opinion, BRI is one of the banks that has the most courage to take action positioning as a bank for MSMEs throughout Indonesia. “If there was no BRI, perhaps many MSMEs would not be able to access financing,” he said.
Through this collaboration, BRI provides the opportunity for selected MSMEs to present their products directly to consumers. Currently there are 26 BRI-assisted MSMEs selling their products at the SOGO Central Park Jakarta outlet. In the future, this collaboration will be expanded to involve up to 50 MSMEs and reach other SOGO outlets, such as Lippo Mall Puri, Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, Emporium Pluit Mall, and Tunjungan Plaza. BRI targets more than 200 MSMEs to join this program by 2026.
