Defense Minister Sjafrie asked the TNI and Polri to remain solid in building security

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Minister of Defense (Defense), Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin delivered the results of a plenary cabinet meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta (31/8).

The session discussed the government’s strategic steps in maintaining national stability amidst the dynamics of the situation that developed in the country.

“The President in relation to national stability, emphasizes the Indonesian National Police, and to the Indonesian National Army to remain solid and cooperate, and both work in carrying out the task of achieving security and comfort for the Indonesian people as a whole,” Minister Sjafrie said in a press statement to the media crew after the meeting.

Furthermore, President Prabowo gave instructions so that the TNI-Polri did not hesitate to take firm and measurable steps to violations of the law. The Head of State also stressed that criminal acts such as the destruction of public facilities and looting are proclaimed according to the law.

“If things happen regarding the matter of safety for personal and homeowners, officials who experience looting, the officers do not hesitate to take decisive action against the perpetrators of riots and looting entering the private territory and the area of ​​the state institution which is confirmed to be always in a safe condition,” said Minister Sjafrie.

In addition to the TNI and Polri, President Prabowo also gave direction to other institutions to strengthen coordination to maintain national stability. One of them is the State Intelligence Agency assigned to continue to monitor the intelligence situation and report President Prabowo on the first occasion in the event of dynamics that arise in the field.
