FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has officially determined the fees that must be paid by Hajj pilgrims who wish to carry out the Hajj pilgrimage in 2026.
The costs that the congregation must pay range from flights to accommodation in the Holy Land — in accordance with the latest policy.
Costs for Organizing the Hajj Pilgrimage (BPIH) and Hajj Travel Costs (Bipih) for Hajj pilgrims in 2026 are stated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 34 of 2025 which was signed by the President on November 13 2025.
In a copy of the Presidential Decree released on Friday (5/12), the government determined the BPIH for 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD which was sourced from Bipih and the benefit value.
“To determine the costs of organizing the Hajj or BPIH for 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD which are sourced from the costs of the Hajj or Bipih pilgrimage and the value of the benefits,” reads a copy of the Presidential Decree.
The Bipih paid by the congregation will be used to cover a number of main needs for organizing the Hajj, starting from flight costs, accommodation in Mecca and Medina, to living costs while in Saudi Arabia.
Apart from that, the Presidential Decree also details the amount of benefits allocated to the congregation. The value of benefits for regular Hajj pilgrims is set at IDR 6.69 trillion, while the value of benefits for special Hajj pilgrims reaches IDR 7.2 billion.
This Bipih determination is the basis for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to begin the technical preparation process for organizing the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, including preparing payment schedules, quotas and service mechanisms for prospective pilgrims.
