Circulating Delpedro Marhaen’s open letter, a number of reasons were arrested by the police

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Executive Director of Lokataru Foundation, Delpedro Marhaen continues to undergo an examination by the Metro Jaya Regional Police investigator after being named a suspect in an alleged incitement.

After being arrested by investigators, Delpedro Marhaen was said to have undergone an examination for almost 24 hours at the Kamneg Subdit of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. On Wednesday (3/9) at dawn, Delpedro came out of the examination room and had greeted his colleagues who were waiting outside the building.

Delpedro also had time to greet his siblings, Delpiero Hegelian, and talked about health conditions. Delpiero also said that he was proud of his younger brother who continued to voice justice.

After undergoing detention at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, an open letter circulated handwritten by Deldro Marhaen from the detention room. As for the open letter, he explained about the case that ensnared him.

In the letter, Delpedro explained that one of the reasons he was arrested and made a suspect because of the steps of his institution that provided legal assistance to the community captured by the police only for expressing opinions in public. As well as other assistance to the people he judged indeed needed legal assistance from the institution he led.

After arresting 1 AUG (September, red) I underwent an examination as a suspect.

For 24 hours with 98 questions. After that I got a detention warrant.
I am currently detained at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Detention Center.
