FAJAR.CO.ID, LONDON-AC Milan swallowed a landslide defeat 1-4 to Chelsea in a trial match at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (10/8/2025). The initial 20 -minute period became a nightmare for Il Rossoneri who even lowered Modric’s wound in the second half.
Chelsea opened the scoring through Andrei’s own goal in the 15th minute, when his efforts to dispel Reece James’s free kick actually turned the ball into his own goal. Three minutes later, the Blues doubled the score through Joao Pedro’s header after receiving a curved cross of Pedro Neto.
Milan disaster continued in the 18th minute. Coulis was expelled by the referee for being the last player to violate Joao Pedro, making Massimiliano Allegri’s team play with 10 people.
Milan had scored a beautiful goal through Rafael Leao in the 42nd minute, but was annulled because of offside. Chelsea almost added advantage at the end of the first half through Marc Cucurella, but his efforts were swept away by Fikayo Tomori right in front of the goal line.
Entering the second half, Luka Modric made his debut with Milan since joining Real Madrid. His presence gave a little hope, with a golden opportunity created in the 55th minute, but Yousouf Fofana failed to take advantage of the situation of two on one.
Chelsea enlarged the advantage to 3-0 in the 67th minute through the Liam Delap penalty after Yunus also dropped Estevao. Two minutes later, Milan scored an entertainment goal through Fofana who grabbed Alexis Saelemakers.
