FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Attorney General’s Investigator (AGO) hopes that the process of investigating and investigating cases of alleged corruption in the procurement of chromebook -based laptops, can run fast and without obstacles.
For this reason, the AGO decided to prevent the former Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim to travel abroad.
Head of the Center for Legal Information (Kapuspenkum) AGO Harli Siregar explained that the prevention was carried out to speed up the investigation process.
“When the information concerned is needed, of course the process will be faster,” said Harli Siregar in Jakarta, Monday (6/30).
Harli said that prevention abroad was not only carried out on Nadiem, but there were three other people who had been issued a prohibition on traveling abroad at the request of the Attorney General’s Office.
He explained that Nadiem’s prevention was also carried out because the investigator saw the attitude of the former Special Staff (Staffus) Nadiem, Jurist Tan who was absent three times when he was called by investigators because he was abroad.
“As we know, there is one of those who also need information, still outside our jurisdiction. I think it is very influential,” said Harli.
Based on these considerations, he said, the Attorney General’s Investigator asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent Nadiem Makarim. However, the AGO has not been able to explain the role of Nadiem in this case.
“To what extent the urgency of these information, I think it can be part of the area of the investigation,” explained Harli. (dawn)
