Called a gallon bath every work visit, Menpar Widiyanti gave an explanation

FAJAR.COID, JAKARTA – Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana straightened news that calls herself using gallon water for bathing when doing a working visit to the region.

The clarification was conveyed when he was present at the podcast on the Helmy Yahya Youtube channel spoke.

The issue circulated after the upload appeared on social media which was claimed by an ASN of the Ministry of Tourism.

In the upload it was mentioned Widiyanti asked for gallon water to take a shower while in the area.

In addition, users who claim to be regional ASNs also complained about the habits of ministers who were considered to often cancel sudden visits.

Responding to the news, Widiyanti stressed that the accusation was not true and only essay by parties that were not related to his ministry.

“I am the least troublesome actually. From hotel bookings or anything, we usually do it myself, I have old employees from the office,” Widiyanti said, quoted Monday (9/29/2025).

He added, during the work visit he always took advantage of the clean water facilities provided by the hotel, not gallon water. According to him, spreading news like that can actually damage the image of the national hospitality industry.

“So I chose hotels and also review it like that. So, all the hotels have clean water. For me it’s not myself,” he explained.

Regarding the sudden cancellation issue of working visits complained by a number of parties, Widiyanti explained that this only happened if there was an important call from President Prabowo Subianto or the Parliament.
