FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The polemic between translator Shin Tae-yong, Jeje and Indonesian national team player, Eliano Reijnders is still continuing.
This response came from Eliano’s coach at Persib Bandung, Bojan Hodak, who gave Jeje a strong statement.
Starting from Jeje in a podcast, he said that the entry of Eliano Reijnders when Indonesia was 2-1 ahead of Bahrain in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers was the cause of the team conceding and ultimately only achieved a 2-2 draw.
However, the facts revealed were different. Where, Eliano entered when the score was still tied at 1-1, not when Indonesia was ahead.
Responding to this news, Bojan Hodak then defended his players.
He then quipped that Jeje admitted that the number 2 player was Persib Bandung’s best recruit this season.
“He is a top player. He came here (Persib) and can play in many positions. He is still young and can run 10 km a lot. He always smiles and is one of our best players,” said Hodak.
“I saw a translator talking nonsense about him (Eliano). People have to focus on their work as a translator, open the ball,” he stressed.
Regarding Jeje’s statement about Eliano, he himself has admitted his mistake, emphasizing that he did not mean to badmouth any player.
In the clarification he conveyed, the aim was only to explain the context of the match.
