FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Activist Ruhul Maani took part in responding to the old story of the Chairman of the PPP DPP Advisory Council, Muhammad Romahurmuziy or Gus Romi, related to the high cost of political costs in Indonesia.
He called the recognition as the harsh reality that occurred in political parties today.
“Horrified! About Gus Romi’s recognition of the reality in political parties today,” Ruhul was quoted as saying on Monday (9/22/2025).
He stressed that he believed in the picture conveyed by Gus Romi.
Ruhul said, the model of political parties as now is what causes a number of public figures to be able to pitch to the DPR seats.
“I really believe. The political party model is like this that makes people stupid Sahroni, Uya Kuya, and Eko Patrio can sit in the DPR,” he said.
Previously, the practice of money politics in organizing elections continued to be in the spotlight.
This phenomenon is considered to damage democracy and is often considered a root of corruption behavior.
Ironically, although it is often discussed by the public, such practices are even more widespread until some people and politicians consider it as normal.
Forms of bribery of political support vary, ranging from the construction of public facilities to providing cash.
The Chairperson of the PPP DPP Advisory Council, Muhammad Romahurmuziy, once cited the case in Tanah Tidung Regency, North Kalimantan.
According to him, in the area with a number of voters around 16 thousand, the practice of money politics could even reach Rp1 million per person.
If calculated, the value can reach Rp16 billion, a number that is also believed to be known by various survey institutions.
