Act of demonstrations in Jakarta and other regions no longer merely voiced opinions or blocking the road, but had turned into anarchism. The masses who rallied until midnight burned a number of public facilities, such as the DPRD building, police station, prosecutors, and various other government facilities.

However, Jusuf Kalla has a different view of the trigger of public demonstration in the DPR which now leads to anarchism. JK actually assesses that the trigger for demonstrations from abroad is very small, if the domestic conditions are fine.
