FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – In commemoration of the world’s breastfeeding week in 2025, Dompet Dompet Dompet Dompet (LKC) held a seminar titled “Prioritizing Breastfeeding: Create a Sustainable Supporting System”.
The seminar aims to strengthen the importance of public awareness that needs to be emphasized, to strengthen awareness about exclusive breastfeeding and how to create a sustainable support system so that mothers provide exclusive breastfeeding to their babies without any obstacles.
The seminar took place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Sasana Budaya Building Philanthropy, South Jakarta.
In this seminar, LKC Dompet Dhuafa presented Andi Makmur then and Yudi Latif as the coach of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, Dr. Lovely Daisy, MKM, as the Director of Family Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, dr. Asti Praborini as a Lactation Consultant Child Specialist as well as LKC Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer, Nia Umar, S. Sos, as Chair of the Indonesian Breastfeeding Mother Association (AIMI), dr. Yeni Purnamasari, MKM, as General Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Health.
The series of seminar events discussed various important issues around exclusive breastfeeding, including the role of families and communities in supporting the success of breastfeeding, and gaining access to affordable health facilities, as well as in supporting the role of mothers in providing breastfeeding in the field, including the obstacles that often appear in the process of breastfeeding.
The seminar was also introduced by the local culture of Banten Province, especially Bedouin culture which has a very close breastfeeding practice culture with the understanding of the traditions of the Bedouin community itself.
