FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Politicians are the most trusted profession in Indonesia. That is based on the IPSOS Global Trustworthiness Index 2024 survey.
In the survey, it was mentioned 10 professions that occupy the lowest position of their trust by the community. What are the lists?
Keep in mind, the survey is basically conducted in 32 countries and involved 23,530 respondents. His age is in the age range 18-74 years.
In Indonesia, the number of respondents was 500 people with a more urban background, educated, and digital connected. Data collection was carried out online from May 24 to June 7, 2024.
“These figures function as important reminders of the need for improvement and rebuilding public trust,” Ipos wrote quoted Wednesday (9/17/2025).
The following is the most unbelievable profession in Indonesia:
- Politician – 45 percent
- Ministry/Cabinet Officer – 41 percent
- Police – 41 percent
- Influencer – 25 percent
- Government Employees – 24 percent
- Lawyer – 24 percent
- Judge – 23 percent
- CEO (Company Leaders) – 22 percent
- Banker executive – 21 percent
- Journalists – 15 percent
The list is somewhat unique. The reason is, in other countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, even South Korea lack of trouble in politicians far below Indonesia.
South Korea, for example, only 16 percent. Then Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium only 17 percent.
Interestingly, in Indonesia the trust of journalists translucent 51 percent. This is considered to indicate the press as a pillar of democracy in Indonesia.
