Police say they are awaiting DNA examination for the suspected skeleton of Alvaro Kiano Nugroho

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The news about the discovery of the boy Alvaro Kiano Nugroho does not seem to be completely true. The reason is that the discovery by the police who was identified as Alvaro was already in the form of a skeleton or bones.

The location where the body suspected of being Alvaro Kiano was found has not been disclosed by the police. The certainty of whether it is Alvaro’s body or not is still waiting for the results of the DNA examination of Alvaro’s family.

If it is true that the human skeleton found is Alvaro Kiano, then it is very sad that the search carried out so far has ended in sadness for his family.

South Jakarta Police Chief, Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, revealed that the police had just discovered a human skeleton which was suspected to be Alvaro Kiano.

“Just found a human skeleton which is thought to be Alvaro,” said Nicolas to journalists, Sunday (23/11/2025).

However, regarding whether the newly discovered human skeleton is really Alvaro’s or not, the police are still waiting for the results of the DNA test.

Investigators will check whether the DNA of the human skeleton found matches the DNA of the Alvaro family.

“But we need confirmation first through DNA checking and Labfor examination,” he said.

Commissioner Nicolas said that the results of the DNA test on the human skeleton that the police had just discovered would be announced next Thursday (27/11/2025).

It is known that Alvaro disappeared when he said goodbye to the Al Muflihun Jami Mosque, Bintaro, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Thursday (6/3/2025) eight months ago.

On the day of the incident about eight months ago, a man who claimed to be Alvaro’s father came to the mosque looking for the boy.
