Perpetrators of the Student Shooting in the Makassar Gaza Strip, This is the Latest Information from the South Sulawesi Police

FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — South Sulawesi Regional Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate, Police Commissioner Setiadi Sulaksono, said that currently his party is still pursuing the perpetrator of the shooting on Jalan Tinumbu, Lorong 148, Tallo District, Makassar City.

As is known, as a result of the shooting, one victim with the initials MD (16) who was still a student died.

According to information obtained by dawn.co.id, another one was rushed to hospital, and five more chose to seek treatment themselves.

This was revealed by Setiadi when exposing the case at the South Sulawesi Police Headquarters together with the Head of Public Relations, Police Commissioner Didik Supranoto and Acting Makassar Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Muhammad Ridwan.

“We’re just going after the suspect. Later, if we catch him, we’ll update,” said Setiadi, Monday (24/11/2025).

When asked about the root of the problem resulting in endless group wars, Setiadi did not give a definite answer.

“The root of the problem is that this happened because there was a dispute. This is now different between Layang and Lembo,” he stressed.

As previously reported, Tallo Police Chief, Commissioner Syamsuardi, said that his party was still carrying out investigations regarding the group war which again killed one victim on Friday (21/11/2025).

As is known, after the police arrested the perpetrators of the group war in the Beroangin cemetery area, similar actions occurred again in other sub-districts.

“We are not yet clear, we are still investigating whether he participated or not. What is clear is that his address is in Wajo District,” said Syamsuardi in his office, Friday evening.
