Latest Entertainment: IDR 5 Billion Lawsuit Snares Adly Fairuz, Legal Counsel Denies Rumors of Claiming to be General

Actor Adly Fairuz is facing a civil lawsuit worth IDR 5 billion at the South Jakarta District Court. The lawsuit was filed by Farly Lumopa for alleged fraud related to the management of prospective members of the Police Academy (Akpol).
In the lawsuit, Adly is said to have promised to graduate from the Police Academy at a cost of IDR 3.65 billion. However, this process failed. Even though there was an agreement to return the funds before a notary, its implementation was deemed not to be in accordance with the agreement.
Responding to the news circulating, Adly Fairuz’s attorney, Aga Khan, assessed that a number of information conveyed to the public was unbalanced. He firmly denied the accusation that his client claimed to be a Police General with the name General Ahmad.
“We would like to convey several statements regarding the news about Adly which in recent days we have seen as unbalanced. Firstly, the accusation that Adly claimed to be a Police General is untrue and very unfair. Why? Those who accused should have known the identity of our client, but still continued giving the money,” said Aga Khan in the Brawijaya area, South Jakarta, Friday (16/1/2026).
The Aga Khan also highlighted the relationship between the plaintiff and his client in the past.

“Secondly, Farly was also Adly’s former attorney at that time. Thirdly, the matter of the lawsuit will be explained by my colleague, Andi. Lastly, regarding the money, our client has actually partially returned it,” he said.
According to Aga, the news was confusing because some of the money had not been returned by the other parties involved. He said there were two people who currently have DPO status or have never been questioned.
“Some people who haven’t returned this are confused, because two people still have DPO status or have never been questioned. So don’t let the news appear to blame Adly for being irresponsible,” he added.
Aga emphasized that his client was cooperative and ready to follow all applicable legal processes.
“Adly is very responsible and willing to follow the legal process, but the news now seems to suggest that he created everything. My colleagues will explain the full facts later,” he said.
Meanwhile, Adly’s other attorney, Andi Gultom, denied there was any breach of contract in the lawsuit. He also questioned the plaintiff’s legal position as owner of the disputed money.

“At first, the plaintiff had no basis as the owner of the money. The plaintiff had no legal standing regarding the object of the lawsuit, so where was the breach of contract? In fact, the original owner of the money being sued did not appear in the lawsuit,” explained Andi.
Regarding Adly’s absence from the default hearing, Andi said this happened because his party had not received an official summons from the court.
“We have not received a summons from the court, so our client is not present. Administratively, the summons is not yet complete.”
Aga Khan added that Adly’s absence was also influenced by the actor’s busy schedule, who was currently filming outside the city.
“Our court is very ready. The first summons has been received, but the administration is not yet complete because the client is busy,” he concluded.
