FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKKP) has imposed sanctions on the Chairman, KPU members and the Secretary General of the KPU.
The imposition of these sanctions is a response to errors that are deemed to violate the election organizers’ code of ethics regarding the procurement of private jet rentals.
“Imposing strict warning sanctions to Defendant I Muhammad Afifuddin, as Chairman and member of the KPU. Defendant II Idham Holik. Defendant III Yulianto Sudrajat. Defendant IV Parsadaan Harahap. Defendant V August Mellaz, each as member of the General Election Commission as of the date this decision was read,” said the Chairman of the DKPP in the verdict hearing which was broadcast via YouTube DKPP
“Imposing a strict warning sanction to Defendant VII Bernad Darmawan Sutrisno as Secretary General of the General Election Commission starting from the time this decision is read,” he continued.
Initially this problem arose after a complaint was made by Sri Afrianis and Dudy Agung Trisna.
Where, the complainant stated that the defendants had violated the KEPP regarding the procurement of private jet rentals under the pretext of providing logistical support for the 2024 elections.
In its consideration, the DKPP assessed that the actions of defendants I to defendant V and defendant VII in using a private jet were not justified according to the ethics of election organizers. Moreover, the contestants chose luxury private jets.
“Defendant I’s argument that the consideration of using a private jet is because the campaign period for the 2024 Election only lasts 75 days, so the time for procurement and distribution of logistics for the 2024 Election is very limited is unacceptable,” said DKPP member Dewi Pitalolo reading out her considerations.
