FAJAR.CO.ID, TANA TORAJA – Indonesian Diaspora Network (IDN) President Los Angeles, USA, Butce Lie, visited Tana Toraja Regency in the framework of an audience with the Regent and visited a number of iconic locations.
This visit aims to strengthen the relationship between the Indonesian Diaspora and the Regional Government, as well as opening up opportunities for cooperation in the fields of tourism and investment.
Joint celebration and food
Regent of Tana Toraja, Dr. Zadrak Tombeg received Butce Lie at the Regent’s house with a lively traditional procession. The reception includes the installation of typical Toraja and Passapu sarong – traditional head covering – as a sign of honor, accompanied by traditional Toraja dance.
Also present was the Chairperson of the PKK TP of Tana Toraja Regency, Dr. Erni Yetti Riman, and Head of the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Adelheid Sosang.
The atmosphere full of intimacy was created at a typical Toraja lunch. Pak Butce Lie and his entourage were then invited to join in traditional dances. The moment became even more lively when he climbed into the drum following the rhythm of the music, dancing with the dancers, and gave saweran to the children of the dancer as a form of appreciation and support for the preservation of local cultural arts.
Dialogue and cooperation potential
During the meeting, Mr. Butce shared a story about Indonesia Diaspora Congress which was recently held in the Capital City (IKN), including the trust given by national entrepreneur Tomy Winata (TW) to lead 15 directors of various companies under Artha Graha Group in a meeting with the Head of IKN Authority.
