FAJAR.CO.ID, BANDUNG – Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi expressed his concern for the world of medical in Indonesia today. He considered, health services by doctors now are too business oriented.
Because health services are too material -oriented, Dedi Mulyadi said the quality of service also influenced.
The statement was delivered by Dedi Mulyadi when Tampi as a speaker at the National Seminar on ‘Prevention of Legislation, Gratuities, Corruption & Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence in the Environment of Health Service Facilities’ at the Padjadjaran University, Bandung City, Friday (8/22/2025).
It was said by Dedi Mulyadi, the world of health had been used as an industry. As a result, everything is calculated based on business interests.
“This is a fact. We enter the materialism of the world of health. The world of health is business,” said Dedi.
That fact he said was certainly very alarming because it had an impact on the quality of service to the community. “If materialism enters the mind of the world of health, the service to the community will be far from fire,” he said as quoted by JPNN.
He gave an example of a shift in value in the world of medicine because of the high cost of education in the profession. As a result, at this time the more rare doctor who has good dedication to the community and the country.
“There was a shift in values in the world of medicine. In the past, all doctors were all devoted. If today, doctors are all calculated,” he said, Dedi understood materialism in the world of medicine not just like that.
