Geizs Chalifah: OTT Noel is only a KPK Pansos, for me a big zero

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Former Commissioner of Ancol, Geizs Chalifah, made a scathing criticism of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to the arrest operation (OTT) that dragged Immanuel Ebenezer alias Noel.

Geizs said that OTT Noel, which was widely reported lately, was nothing more than the KPK’s social climbing effort (Pansos). In fact, he equated the case with “Dangdut soap opera”.

“The KPK -style dangdut soap opera. The KPK is Pansos,” Geizs said on his personal Facebook, Friday (8/22/2025).

Geizs insisted he was not defending Noel. However, the legal process must still run, and the court that will determine whether or not the accusation is true.

“I’m no longer defending Noel. That he was arrested, just waiting for the trial what really happened,” he continued.

However, Geizs claimed to be surprised by the way the KPK played this OTT Noel issue.

He considered the KPK seemed to want to display great success, even though according to him it was not an achievement at all.

“Following Noel’s OTT news and a number of other people, then the KPK played this news as if it was an extraordinary and great success. For me, it’s a big zero,” he said.

Geizs even claimed to have long lost confidence in the interfaith institution.

This close friend of Anies Baswedan said, many basic problems actually originated from the internal KPK itself.

“I have long lost confidence in law enforcement agencies with a number of concrete reasons,” he said.
